Help with ReviewFocus

Answers to the most common questions, and how to reach me if something does not work.

Frequently asked questions

ReviewFocus shows no tasks. What do I do?

No lists are in review to begin with. Open Settings (⌘,), choose the Lists tab, and turn on the lists you want to review. Give them a default cycle. Tasks become due for review the first time the app sees them.

The app says it has no access to Reminders.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders, and turn on ReviewFocus. Then restart the app.

Does ReviewFocus change my reminders?

Only when you do so yourself during a review: edit the title, notes, list, due date or priority, complete or delete. When a task was last reviewed is stored in ReviewFocus, not in the reminder.

Why can I not see flags, tags or subtasks?

Apple does not give other apps access to flags, tags or which reminders are nested under each other. Subtasks therefore show as ordinary tasks, and priority is shown instead of flags.

Can I use ReviewFocus on more than one Mac?

Yes. Your reminders sync through iCloud as always. To bring the review schedule along too, create an account under Settings and turn on sync.

What do the colours of the Overdue badge mean?

Grey: the review is due today. Amber: it is overdue. Red: it is overdue by more than a number of days you choose under Settings → Review (14 days by default).

How do I delete my account and my synced data?

Write to support@bykjaergaard.eu from the email address the account was created with, and I will delete the account and all data that belongs to it.
